We are required to publish proposals or decisions on development applications, integrated development applications and other public notices for community consideration under the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 and the Local Government Act.
You can make a submission if the advertisement is a proposal, or you may be able to appeal to the NSW Land and Environment Court if the advertisement is about a decision.
Applications go through several processes before they are advertised for community consideration, or consent is provided.
Applications seeking consent
We are obliged to publish applications seeking consent under the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979, however publishing the notices doesn't imply we will grant consent to these proposals.
You can make a submission relating to any of the proposals to express support for, or object the proposal. Submissions must be accompanied by a disclosure statement, if you have made a reportable political donation or gift.
Published decisions
We publish the details of eligible planning and development decisions which can only be challenged in the Land and Environment Court up to three months after publication.
Applications on public notice
Notice is hereby given that Amendment 2 to the Bayside Development Control Plan 2022 will come into force on 17 April 2026. The amendment includes a new chapter 7.22 Eastgardens Centre applying to the Westfield Eastgardens site at 152 Bunnerong Road, Eastgardens. It sets design controls focusing on built form, public spaces, transport, and connectivity. Key features include a plaza fronting Bunnerong Road, improved bus interchange, active hubs, and pedestrian-friendly streets.
This amendment relates to the commencement of Amendment No 7 to the Bayside Local Environmental Plan 2021.

Pursuant to section 47A of the Local Government Act 1993 (the LGA), Council hereby gives notice of its intention to grant a Works Licence over Community Land and Part Crown Land known as Riverine Park, east of West Botany Street, Arncliffe (refer to the plan outlined in blue below) also known as 210B West Botany Street being Lot 1 DP 576148 and Part Lot 100 DP 1228008. The period of the works licence is for a period no longer than five years.
The granting of the licences will be subject to licence terms being agreed with the licensee and subject to the Adopted Plan of Management. It is anticipated at the expiration of the Works Licences that Council will grant occupation licences over the same land and new adjacent buildings to the same party. The terms of the licence are in the process of negotiation and the maximum term for this licence (including options) would be 21 years. A separate notification and consultation process will be implemented in accordance with section 47 of the LGA in due course.
Details of the proposed Works Licences include the following:
