Council natural turf sporting fields are currently CLOSED. 

Weather Conditions:

  • The continued rain has saturated Councils turf fields. As such the fields will remain closed for any sporting activities.
  • Noting that Councils fields have endured over 70mm of rain over the past 4 days.
  • Council endeavours to provide any updates of fields closure / opening 11:30am each day. Unless an unforeseen weather event occurs.

Important Reminders:

  • These closures are necessary in assisting with the longevity of the fields turf surfaces so that sport can be enjoyed by everyone, for the entire season.

Assessments and Updates:

  • Council endeavours to provide any updates of fields closure / opening 11:30am on that same day. Unless an unforeseen weather event occurs.
  • Each field will be evaluated individually, and only those deemed fit for use will be closed / re-opened, if practical.
