Smoking

We're creating healthier communities by establishing smoke free environments across Bayside.

Smoke free zones on our beaches

Through our "Smoke Free Zones - Breathe Easy Trial" initiative we have established several smoke free zones including:

  • from the start of the Boardwalk at the Little Grand Parade up to the kiosk at Brighton Beach

  • Cook Park

  • Lady Robinsons Beach from Kyeemagh to Sandringham.

We have also limited the areas where you can use a charcoal barbecue. There are now four designated BBQ areas along our foreshore.

Authorised officers, police and health inspectors conduct regular patrols. People who breach the ban may incur a fine of up to $300.
