Hensley Athletic Field Upgrade
Bayside Council has accepted a tender for the replacement of the synthetic soccer field at Hensley Athletic Field in Eastgardens.
“This is a vibrant community sports hub and is in high demand year-round for soccer games and training,” Mayor Joe Awada said.
Sandringham Baths CCTV
Bayside Council is installing CCTV cameras near Sandringham Baths in response to community concerns regarding anti-social behaviour.
Mascot Towers Rate Relief
Bayside Council’s has voted to provide some financial relief to property owners at Mascot Towers given the unique circumstances surrounding the building.
“Council cannot waive rates, but we certainly will be making representations to the Premier,” Mayor Joe Awada said.
Extraordinary Council Meeting
Bayside Council will hold an Extraordinary Meeting of Council on 4 August 2021 to discuss a range of financial relief options to support the Bayside community experiencing financial difficulties during current COVID-19 lockdown.
Technology Targets Hoons
Bayside Council will work with the Local Police Area Command to install state-of-the-art CCTV using licence plate recognition (LPR) to target hooning around Brighton-le-Sands.
“I fully support Council using the latest technology to keep our community safe,” Mayor Joe Awada said
Online Services Outage
Council will be conducting system maintenance today Tuesday 20 July 2021 between 10am and 2pm. Limited online services will be available during this time and will include disruptions to online issue reporting.

Longer Park Lighting
Lighting at several of our parks has been extended to 9pm giving residents more time to enjoy some outdoor exercise.
Remember you can exercise on your own, with members of your household, or with one other person.
You must stay within Bayside or 10km from your home.
