Get the Site Right Campaign
Bayside Council Officers will be putting local construction sites under a compliance microscope in May when the Get The Site Right campaign kicks off.
Seniors High Tea
An occasion to celebrate our Seniors.
In celebration of our Seniors, we are holding high teas at the Rockdale Town Hall on Saturday 28 May 2022 and at the Botany Town Hall on Saturday 4 June 2022.
On each date, there will be 2 sessions - 9:30am to 12pm and 2pm to 4:30pm
New Off-Leash Areas for Bayside
Bayside Council is looking at possible new off-leash areas following the recommendations of its City Services Committee.
The City Services Committee recommended a short-list of 5 sites that were presented to Council in a proposal at last month’s Council meeting.
Ron Rathbone Competition Open
The Ron Rathbone Local History Competition is back with $9000 in prize money to encourage local historians to explore the diverse history of Bayside.
No Cruise Ships in Botany Bay
Bayside Council remains opposed to any cruise terminal in Botany Bay and will write to the State Government to reiterate its opposition to any plans for a cruise ship terminal at Yarra Bay or nearby Molineux Point, next to Port Botany.
Sir Joseph Banks Park Tender Approved
Construction of the new playspace at Sir Joseph Banks Park is expected to be completed by December 2022 following Council’s approval of the tender from Glascott Landscape & Civil Pty Ltd.
Bexley Bowling Club Refurbishment
The former Bexley Bowling Club site is one step closer to being transformed into a local community hub following Bayside Council’s monthly meeting last night when the majority of Councillors voted to accept the recommendations of its City Works & Assets Committee.
Botany Pool Movie Night
The Botany Aquatic Centre is celebrating the end of the pool season with a community movie night on Saturday 23 April.
“I am pleased the popular family movie nights are back at Botany Pool,” Mayor Dr Christina Curry said.
