Bicycle Care and Maintenance Workshops

Bayside residents are invited to unlock the secret to a smooth ride in this free workshop at two venues.

Bring your bike along to learn everything from lubricating chains to changing tyres and other basic road-side repairs from an expert bike mechanic.

Bookings are essential.

Families are invited to meet with local and government services for free advice and information. A storytime and free oral health screening will be available for children as well as free hearing tests for adults.

Join our free brain health information sessions to learn about maintaining a healthy brain and reducing the risk of cognitive decline.

We offer the sessions in eight languages at Rockdale and Eastgardens libraries. Morning tea is provided so registrations are essential.

Guided Wetland Tour

This World Environment Day, join local environmentalist and historian Dr Arthur White and staff from Bayside Council’s Environment & Resilience team on a guided wetland bus tour. This tour is suitable for adults.

Workshop: Bee Magic
4 - 5pm
Eastgardens Library

This educational workshop run by Rooftop Bees is an introduction to the amazing world of bees and involves a range of practical hands-on components to create a unique, interactive, engaging and sensory experience. This workshop is suitable for children aged 5-12.

Workshop: Earth in Virtual Reality
4 - 5pm
Rockdale Library

An expert facilitator from Education Group brings a networked set of VR goggles loaded with software for children to immerse themselves in facts about our amazing world and leave with a positive message of empowerment and hope for the future of their planet. This workshop is suitable for children aged 5-12.
