Bayside Council has partnered with Compost Revolution to help residents reduce food waste and start composting at home.
Through the program, eligible Bayside residents can receive up to 50% off a range of home composting products, including compost bins, worm farms, and bokashi systems.
Participants will also have access to online tutorials, educational resources and ongoing customer support to help them successfully compost at home.
The subsidy program is available to Bayside residents, local schools and community groups operating within the Bayside local government area.
To be eligible, applicants must provide a valid Bayside residential address or demonstrate that their organisation operates within the Bayside area.
Please note that businesses are not eligible, and the subsidy is limited to one order per household or address per financial year.
Home composting is an effective way to reduce the amount of food waste sent to landfill while producing nutrient-rich compost that supports healthier gardens and plants. A variety of systems are available to suit different living situations, including apartments and homes with limited outdoor space.
To claim your subsidy, visit the Compost Revolution website and select ‘Claim your council subsidy’. Enter your residential address and you will automatically be directed to the Bayside Council program page to access discounted products.
