Honour your mum or a special mother figure by planting a native tree in their name at Bayside's free Trees for Mum event, held at Sir Joseph Banks Park next to the Dog Park on Saturday 9 May from 9am to 1pm.

Give everyday items a second life at our Upcycled Plant Pots activity, where Council provides soil and plants so you can pot up a reusable container and take it home.

Bring something that holds around one litre of soil; watering cans, boots, colanders, baking dishes or old buckets all work well. Please ensure your container has drainage holes before arriving, as tools will not be available on the day.

Trees for Mum is a free event open to all Bayside residents, with registration essential, and all planting equipment and commemorative tree tags provided, while Council staff will be on hand to assist participants, who are encouraged to dress for outdoor activity and wear closed-toe shoes, a hat and sunscreen.
