As an initiative of the ST George DV Committee, this forum will be facilitated by the Women’s and Girls Emergency Centre (WAGEC) and provide attendees the opportunity to learn how to be an effective bystander and take part in ending domestic and family violence. 

This interactive forum will: 

• Explain the role of bystanders in preventing violence; Explore the impacts of DFV on individuals, families and
  communities.
• Challenge community attitudes that allow abuse to continue.
• Provide safe, practical strategies to respond when you see or suspect harmful behaviour.

Panel Speakers include Marrickville Legal Centre, NSW Police – DV Liaison Officer, Women’s Domestic Violence
Court Advocacy Program and Moving Forward. 

Light refreshments will be provided.
