Council will remove and replant five (5) dead Norfolk Island Pines and one (1) Cook Pine tree along the western side of The Grand Parade due to disease, poisoning and/or natural end of life. Trees of the same species will replace the trees removed.
The five (5) dead or dying Norfolk Island Pine trees are currently located on nature strips along the Grand Parade. These trees present risks, particularly the poisoned tree in front of 152-153 the Grand Parade in Monterey, which has dropped branches during recent high winds.

- Tree No. 499 which is located at the corner of Culver Street and The Grand Parade, Monterey.
- Tree No. 509 which is located at the corner of Pasadena Street and The Grand Parade, Monterey.

The one (1) dead or dying Cook Pine tree is also currently located on nature strips along the Grand Parade.
- Tree No. 546 which is located on the corner of Gordon Street and The Grand Parade, Brighton Le Sands.
Council has engaged TreeServe to deliver this essential tree work. The removal and replanting will be carried out in two stages. As the trees are located along The Grand Parade, overnight road and lane closures will be required, with traffic diversions and traffic controllers in place to ensure safe access for pedestrians and vehicles. Every reasonable effort will be made to minimise noise and disruption to nearby residents.
