Arncliffe Central is a new mixed-use precinct currently being delivered by Billbergia Development at 161–179 Princes Highway, Arncliffe. The development features four residential towers, a childcare centre, a central park and a vibrant mix of retail spaces.
As part of this project, Council has secured more than 1,600m² within the precinct to create a brand new community hub. a modern, welcoming and inclusive space designed for everyone.
This project is one of Council’s 10 Bold Moves and the community hub will offer state-of-the-art facilities where people of all ages, abilities and interests can connect, learn, work, relax and create.
What's Involved
It will bring together a range of community-focused spaces, including:
- Library services and book collection
- Study and collaboration areas
- Meeting rooms
- Dedicated children’s area
The community hub has been designed to reflect the merging of the natural organic beauty of the Cooks River and Wolli Creek with the urban landscape surrounding it. The design creates a balanced space that reflects the fluidity of water, the resilience of nature and the structure of the city, fostering a harmonious connection between the built and natural environment.
Location
The new community hub will be located along the Princes Highway in Arncliffe, just a short walk from Arncliffe Train Station and nearby bus routes, making it easy for everyone to access.
Current Status
Design work and approvals for the community hub are currently underway. The space is expected to be handed over to Council in early 2028, when fit-out and commissioning will begin.
