Missing a swimming lesson happens from time to time. Our make-up lesson process gives enrolled Learn to Swim students the flexibility to book an alternative lesson when an eligible absence has been recorded.
We understand that illness, school activities, family commitments and other circumstances can sometimes prevent students from attending their regular lesson from time to time. Make-up lessons provide an opportunity to continue participating in the Learn to Swim program when a lesson has been missed.
Key Information
- Students can access up to eight make-up lessons each calendar year
- Absences must be recorded before the scheduled lesson time
- Make-up lessons are subject to class availability
- Students must have an active Learn to Swim enrolment
- Make-up lessons can only be booked within the swimmer's current class level
How to Book a Make-Up Lesson
Step 1: Record an Absence
Log in to Active Carrot and record the student's absence between 7 days and 2 hours before the scheduled lesson. Recording an absence in advance is required before a make-up lesson can be booked.
Step 2: Book A Make-Up Lesson
After the absence has been recorded, available make-up lessons for the swimmer's current level will appear in Active Carrot. Select an available lesson that suits your schedule and confirm the booking.
Step 3: Attend The Lesson
Attend the make-up lesson at the booked date and time. Make-up lessons cannot be rescheduled or cancelled once confirmed.
Things To Know
Before booking a make-up lesson, please keep the following in mind:
- Make-up lessons are subject to availability
- Students can access a maximum of 8 make-up lessons per calendar year
- Unused make-up lessons expire at the end of the calendar year
- Unused make-up lessons also expire when a swimmer moves to a new class level
- Make-up lessons are not transferable between students
- Make-up lessons cannot be refunded, exchanged or applied as account credit
- Missed make-up lessons cannot be rebooked
