Council natural turf fields are currently OPEN. 

Weather Conditions:

• Favourable weather conditions have allowed all Council natural turf fields to remain open for sports play and training. 

Important Reminders:

• Field Status: While Council has declared the fields open, the final decision to play rests with the relevant sporting associations, clubs, match officials and users.
• Player safety and field longevity: Ensuring the safety of players and the sustainability of the playing surface is essential for the full season. Council is committed to supporting the community with safe and well-maintained facilities.
• Training recommendations: To help preserve high-traffic areas (centre field and goal mouths), council recommends rotating training locations within the field, avoiding concentrated wear on specific zones and removing studs during training sessions to reduce turf damage. 

Assessments and Updates:

• Council endeavours to provide any updates of field closure / opening by 11:30am on the days that an unforeseen weather event occurs, or as early as practical when weather events are forecast.
• Each field will be evaluated individually and only those deemed fit for use will be closed / re-opened, if practical.
