Get Grubby Program

The Get Grubby Program

Bayside Council is partnering with The Get Grubby Program to help inspire the next generation of environmental champions through fun, engaging and hands on sustainability education.

Designed for children aged 3 to 10 years, the program provides local early learning services, primary schools and families with access to high quality, curriculum aligned learning resources that make caring for the environment both exciting and accessible.

Learn through play

Featuring much loved characters dirtgirl, scrapboy and Costa the Garden Gnome, the program encourages children to explore practical sustainability topics, including:

  • Gardening and growing food
  • Composting and reducing food waste
  • Recycling and reuse
  • Waste reduction
  • Caring for the local environment

Through videos, activities, educator guides and printable learning materials, children can develop environmentally responsible habits while building a stronger connection with nature.

Supporting sustainable futures

The Get Grubby Program helps children discover simple, positive actions they can take every day to help create a more sustainable future. By learning through play, children gain the knowledge and confidence to make a difference at home, at school and in their community.
