Wet Weather Line

Last update: Monday 8 July 2024 @ 2:15pm

All Council natural turf sporting fields are Open for use.

The recent rains have left our playing fields surfaces soggy, rendering some areas still unsuitable for use.

The decision to play will be at the discretion of the relevant Sporting Associations Clubs, match officials and users. The safety of the players and the longevity of the playing surface are critical, so that sport can be enjoyed by everyone, for the entire season.

For the preservation of the highly utilised areas of the field (such as the centre and goal mouth areas) Council recommends altering the location of training within the field to minimise any further damage.

Further rain is forecasted throughout the week, in the event of heavy rain, users will need to stop using the fields.

Please take the time to ensure that you are familiar with the status of the Field Closures prior to games and training sessions.
