Ramsgate Commercial Centre Development Contributions Plan 2006

The Ramsgate Commercial Centre Development Contributions Plan 2006 came into effect on 19 October 2006. This is a joint plan developed between the former Rockdale City and Kogarah Councils.

What is it?

The Ramsgate commercial centre is located on either side of Ramsgate Road, the centreline of which is the boundary between Bayside Council (formerly Rockdale City Council) and Georges River Council (formerly Kogarah Council).

What does it do?

In order to provide a uniform and consistent approach to the commercial centre, the former Councils jointly developed the Ramsgate Commercial Centre Development Contributions Plan 2006. The Plan provides for:

  • the funding of specific local infrastructure and facilities within the Ramsgate centre
  • streetscape improvements
  • a new public square
  • undergrounding of existing services
  • new or widened service lanes
  • improved traffic management facilities, and
  • new or embellished stormwater drainage.
