Improving Hoarding on Development Sites

Monday 2 June 2025

Council will investigate improvements to hoardings on development sites to enhance the visual appeal of streetscapes during construction after a Notice of Motion was carried at the May Council meeting.

The implementation of public art, murals or creative designs on hoardings would deter graffiti and vandalism while supporting local artists and contributing to community amenity and appeal.

The investigation will explore the addition of hoarding beautification as a condition of development consent for relevant applications to allow Council to implement the proposed improvements.

Council staff will provide a report to Council on the proposed improvements at a future Council meeting.
