Bayside Council has reaffirmed its commitment to creating an inclusive community where people with disability can fully participate in civic and cultural life, including access to events, festivals and recreational opportunities, following a Notice of Motion at Wednesday’s Council meeting.

Council’s Disability Inclusion Action Plan (DIAP) 2022–2026 provides a clear vision to ensure our spaces, services and events are inclusive and accessible.

Council’s events program plays a vital role in community connection, celebration and engagement, and Bayside Council will review its current events planning and delivery processes to identify and address gaps in accessibility to ensure every resident, regardless of ability, can fully participate.
