Bayside residents are now able to book an appointment with a Development Advisory Officer online to access free general planning advice.
Council Officers offer comprehensive guidance on various facets of the development process.
It is recommended to seek advice when planning a project as it could improve the determination timeframe and probability of approval.
Council’s free Development Advisory Service provides general planning advice, which includes:
- Explaining the development approval process.
- Identifying the planning controls and policies that affect your property.
- Identifying if your proposal is classified as: exempt development, complying development, local development, requiring consent, prohibited development
- Explaining the process of applying for approval.
This service is available from Customer Service Centres at Eastgardens and Rockdale, which are open Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 4.30pm.
