Locations and Opening Hours
Changes to Bayside Library's Hoopla Service
From 31 July 2026 Bayside Library will no longer be offering Hoopla.
Library patrons can still access our vast ebook, audiobook and comic collections via Libby and Borrowbox and stream film and tv shows via Beamafilm.
Any items patrons borrow before the end date will still be accessible until the loan period has been reached.
Social Stories
Bayside Libraries now offer Social Stories to support children and families to prepare for a library visit in advance. These resources were developed with input from Plumtree (early childhood disability and developmental delay support) and Bayside’s Disability Specialist.
Social Stories use clear, simple language and images to explain what to expect at each branch (e.g. the space, noise levels, borrowing, and where to ask for help). They can be particularly helpful for autistic children and other children who benefit from predictable routines and advance preparation.
A Social Story is available for each Bayside library branch: Bexley North, Mascot, Arncliffe, Eastgardens, Rockdale and Sans Souci, and/or Library staff can assist during your visit, please ask at the service desk if you need support.

Book Club Kits now available to borrow
Bayside Libraries now offer Book Club Kits for community borrowing.
Each kit includes 6 to 12 books and can be borrowed for 6 weeks, with one renewal available.
One library member must borrow the kit using their library card and will be responsible for all items, including any damage, missing items or late fees.
Book Club Kits can be reserved and transferred between Bayside library branches. Kits must be returned directly to library staff and cannot be placed in book chutes.
Public libraries can access Book Club Kits through the Interlibrary Loan Service.
