The official opening of Barton Park in Banksia will take place on Saturday 4 May. There is a lot of excitement about this major project that has seen Barton Park upgraded into a welcoming space with accessible facilities, good lighting, walking and cycling connections to open space along the Rockdale Wetlands Corridor.
The growing populations of Arncliffe, Banksia and Wolli Creek as well as the wider Bayside community will also be able to enjoy premier sporting facilities for organised sports and recreational spaces which can be used for family outings, bird watching, exercise and environmental education opportunities.
We are very proud of this new community asset that has been delivered on time and to a high standard. Congratulations to all the staff who worked on delivering this project.
