Bayside Council is seeking feedback on a proposal to install new lighting at Scarborough Park Tennis Courts.
The proposal by the current tenant will see the installation of ten 12m high 1200w floodlights using the electrical pits, turrets, and conduits that are already in place.
The tenant will be responsible for all installation costs and the maintenance of the lights.
The proposed lighting system has been designed to minimise light spill by directing illumination precisely onto the courts and using shielding technology to reduce glare and light spillage.
This will also help to minimise the impact on the surrounding neighbourhood, natural areas, and wildlife.
The proposal is on public exhibition until Wednesday 23 July, and Council will review all feedback received.
