Bayside Council is proposing to amend the Bayside Local Environmental Plan 2021 (BLEP) to permit ‘signage’ with consent within the Zone SP2 Infrastructure Land Use Table.
This will simplify and streamline the approval process for installing advertising on Council’s major transport corridors while ensuring any signage is well-designed, appropriately located, and maintains a low visual impact on road corridors across the Bayside LGA.
The new system will be managed through the Development Approval (DA) process and require compliance with all relevant policies and design guidelines to ensure signage contributes positively to public spaces.
Community members are encouraged to review the planning proposal and share their feedback before Monday 8 December 2025.
