Bayside Council’s draft Information Management Policy, designed to protect information across Council, is now on public exhibition.
This new policy ensures information is accurate, accessible, secure, and properly retained, while promoting accountability, transparency, and compliance with privacy and legislative requirements. It also supports digital transformation and data-driven decision-making.
While still focused on traditional record keeping, the policy now encompasses the growing volume of digital data, emails, metadata, and organisational knowledge handled daily across Council.
The draft Information Management Policy aligns closely with Council’s Privacy Management Plan, creating a unified, future-focused framework that strengthens trust and safeguards community information.
Community members are encouraged to review the updated draft and share their feedback before Thursday 4 December 2025.
