Bayside Council will continue lobbying for the NSW State Government to redevelop the Geeves Avenue car park, following a resolution at the July Council Meeting.

Council wrote to the Hon. John Graham, MP, Minister for Transport, who confirmed a current review of commuter car parks being undertaken but explained there are no immediate plans to construct a Park and Ride facility in Rockdale.

Council welcomes the State Government’s current review of its commuter car parks but believes the car park at Geeves Avenue is insufficient to cater to the needs of a key commuter station like Rockdale and should be the number one priority in the review being undertaken by the State Government.
