Come along to a free Raranga Harakeke Wānanga Māori Weaving Workshop, a hands-on cultural program offered through Bayside Libraries.

Led by skilled kaiako (teachers), this workshop introduces participants to the traditional Māori art of weaving using local flax.

Learn about the whakapapa (ancestry) of the flax plant, how to harvest and prepare it, create at least three woven flax flowers to take home.

Workshops are open to Bayside Library members aged 16+.
