You’ll be part of a group of approximately 30 people. You’ll meet artist Dennis Golding, members of the project team from the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia and Bayside Council, and of course each other. Our workshops aren’t formal in any way – we’ll take you through Dennis’ artistic concept and motivations for this project and get involved with some creative making with our hands. 

We’ll be in a private room at each workshop’s listed venue for two hours. This will be our mutual conversation and art-making session. All art-making materials will be provided. After our initial round of workshops, we’ll be in contact with community participants about further opportunities to continue engaging with Dennis and this project throughout July–August. This will lead to Dennis’ artistic creation being unveiled in Bayside in November. 

No, this isn’t necessary. Parents and guardians are welcome to drop off workshop participants at each venue at the advertised start time and collect them at the advertised end time. Each workshop will be attended by the artist and staff members from MCA Australia and Bayside Council. MCA Australia and Bayside Council are committed to ethical cultural development and respect your privacy.
