The use of Bexley Oval by local sporting clubs can now extend into the evening thanks to six new floodlight towers that were installed by Bayside Council, supported by a $250,000 grant from the Federal Government.

Engaging With The Community - Lady Robinsons Beach Management Plan
Our world’s changing climate and human activities like the development of Port Botany and Sydney Airport have significantly altered the shoreline along Lady Robinsons Beach, causing persistent erosion and presenting other challenges.
Green Spaces
City Presentation have been busily planting new greenery along the nature strip on West Botany Street near Rockdale Park giving this space a wonderful burst of colour and adding to the existing lush green hedges and street trees along that street.
Barton Park Unveiled
The official opening of Barton Park in Banksia will take place on Saturday 4 May.
Childcare
Council runs three childcare centres located at Hillsdale, Mascot and Kogarah, which provide quality education and care programs for children aged between six weeks and five years old.
Clean Up Australia Day
This year we again supported schools, businesses and the local community for Clean Up Australia Day. Staff were involved in cleaning up Cook Park, and thanks to their wonderful efforts, 40 large bags of rubbish were collected. Thank you to everyone who participated.
Online Flood Hotspot Map
Council re-established its online flood hotspot map.
If you have experienced consistent flooding on or near your property which has originated from a local stormwater drain, natural stream or estuary you can now ‘pin it’ on Council’s hotspot map.

Booralee Park Playground Update
Council has agreed to incorporate a fitness station as well as cycle and walking paths in the concept design for the new Booralee Park playground that will soon be on public exhibition.
Beekeeping in the Spotlight
Bayside Council is updating its Keeping Animals Policy to deal with a growing community interest in both European and native beekeeping.
More than 100 Bayside residents already host Australian stingless bees as part of Council’s native bee program.
