The NSW Government is undertaking major projects that will have an impact on the people and places within Bayside Council. One of those projects is Westconnex.
State Significant Development
What is it?
Some types of development are deemed to have State significance due to the size, economic value or potential impacts that a development may have. Examples of these could be education or health facilities, public housing, major roads, or a major redevelopment.
WestConnex New M5
The WestConnex New M5 Motorway construction, overseen by NSW Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) is one such project that affects several areas within Bayside Council including Arncliffe, Bexley North, Kingsgrove and Mascot.
