Developers who don't control and manage sediment on their site may be fined between $8,000 and $15,000.

Please supply as much detail as possible, including photos if you have them. This helps us to investigate quickly and thoroughly.
Inspection blitzes
We conduct regular inspection blitzes, along with NSW Government agencies.
These inspections target repeat offenders and high risk sites.
We conduct follow up inspections where there has been non-compliance.
Get the site right
We participate in the Get the Site Right initiative.
Get the Site Right is a joint taskforce between the Parramatta River Catchment Group, Cooks River Alliance, Georges Riverkeeper, Sydney Coastal Councils Group, Lake Macquarie City Council, NSW Environment Protection Authority (EPA), the Department of Planning, Industry and Environment, and more than 20 Sydney councils.
Our aim is to educate and encourage developers and builders on the use of erosion and sediment controls on commercial and residential building sites, as well as major infrastructure projects, to protect our waterways and surrounding environments
