Public Art Beautifying Bayside

Public artwork contributes to the character of our area and to the lives of people who live in Bayside. It expresses our heritage, culture, values and contributes to a sense of pride and place. Public artwork can contribute to the vibrancy and accessibility of our places, enabling people to connect with interesting ideas and with one another.

Council has been busy recently coordinating two interesting public art projects in Botany and Mascot.
In Mascot, artist Christina Huynh has completed an installation on a refurbished amenities block. Her work is titled ‘Safe Travels’.

Meanwhile in Botany, artist Aurora Campbell has recently begun work on another amenities block, which is expected to be completed soon.
