Message from the Mayor
This month we commemorate ANZAC Day which marks the anniversary of the landing at Gallipoli, and we remember those who fought for our freedom.
Seniors High Tea Returns
Bayside Council is once again celebrating its seniors with a series of popular high teas next month.
These free high teas will be held at the Rockdale Town Hall on Friday 17 May, and at the Botany Town Hall on Saturday 25 May.
Domestic Violence Candlelight Vigil 2024
Bayside Council is holding a candlelight vigil at the Family and Domestic Violence Reflection Garden in Mutch Park on Tuesday 30 April from 6:30pm to 8pm.
This vigil is being held to remember those who have suffered from domestic and family violence.
Barton Park Official Opening
Barton Park will open to the public on Saturday 4 May with a family fun day of events that will give the community an opportunity to enjoy this new recreational hub in the heart of Bayside.
ANZAC Day Services 2024
Bayside Council is proudly supporting our local RSL sub-Branches in hosting annual ANZAC services in across Bayside.
Bayside’s ANZAC commemorations include a pre-ANZAC March from Mascot Library to Mascot Memorial Park, Mascot on Sunday 21 April.
Road and Footpath Survey
Bayside Council has engaged an external company, Infrastructure Management Group (IMG), to collect comprehensive information on the condition of local roads and footpaths.
2024 Summer Foreshore Program Winner
Bayside Council announced the winner of its successful Summer Foreshore Program at a presentation evening on Thursday 18 April at the Novotel Hotel Brighton Le Sands.
Congratulations to local resident Judd Jones who won a one-night stay at the Novotel.
ANZAC Day Book Giveaway
As part of the Bayside ANZAC Day commemorations, Council is giving away copies of 'Postings from the Front', which details the lives and experiences of the men and women from Botany and Mascot who served during World War I.
Handrails Installed at Memorial Parks
To ensure our veterans are able to comfortably participate in these events now and into the future, Council has recently installed handrails at Booralee Park, with two more being installed at Arncliffe and Mascot next week.
