From April to September 2026, Mascot Library and George Hanna Memorial Museum will host an exhibition on the contributions of Bayside Women towards the war effort.

The formal launch of the exhibition will take place Saturday 11 April from 10am - 12pm.

This exhibition tells the stories of local women who were nurses, knitters, cooks, coders, telegraphists, and more, whose contributions, while often overlooked, were crucial to the efforts of World War I and World War II. Through their names, we shed light to the many unseen and unsung women whose dedication and resilience play an integral role in shaping the outcome of the war.

This exhibition is open to everyone. Registration is not required.

(After Exhibition is posted onto website) Residents will also be able to view the exhibition through the Bayside Council Website.
