  • Overall Sustainable City Award (Finalist)
  • Circular Economy Award (Highly Commended)

The Coastal and Waterways Protection Award is for programs and actions that create, restore and enhance natural waterways and beaches. In 2019 Bayside Council won this Award for its innovative Beach Litter Prevention Program.
Council continues to work with volunteers, businesses, other organisations to support and improve its ongoing Beach Litter Prevention Program.

The Overall Sustainable City Award is awarded to a council that has successfully undertaken projects or actions in a number of areas of environmental sustainability and social inclusion.
