We need your feedback to help us shape the future of Bayside.
Our Bayside Community Satisfaction Survey is open until 30 September and it’s your opportunity to tell us how we are doing and what improvements you would like to see. Please take the opportunity to complete the survey which takes around 15 minutes.
With many of our winter sports now over for 2023, all that remains for many of our community sporting organisations is their end of season club presentation.
The organisation of these sports requires hard work on a weekly basis and the many volunteers behind the scenes deserve a massive thank you for all that they do. You may think that with the season over, the work is done for our volunteers but for many of these precious people they simply start the planning for next season.
Where would we be without you!
Summer sports have now begun and we also thank all those who volunteer to make these happen. We wish everyone a very enjoyable season ahead.
I’d like to welcome a further 300 people who became Australian Citizens on Tuesday night at our ceremony at Rockdale Town Hall. You have chosen Bayside as your home and we hope that you are as proud of our beautiful Bayside area as I am.
We were very fortunate with the weather last weekend for our Bayside Spring Fair. There were smiles all round with everyone enjoying the multicultural performances, the great food, the stalls and of course the ever-popular camel rides. Let’s hope that we are similarly blessed with great weather for our ‘Hear Our Voice’ concert and family fun day at Sir Joseph Banks Park Oval on Saturday, 23 September commencing at 2pm. I hope to see you there.
I’d also like to extend my thanks to two of our local schools for inviting me to spend some time with them recently. Daceyville Public School organised a Big Band Bash and there was no shortage of amazing musical talent.
To coincide with R U OK ? day on Wednesday, St Therese Primary School, Mascot held a community Morning Tea to highlight how important it is to focus on mental health. In this regard, Bayside Council provides many support services and activities to assist our residents to stay healthy in both mind and body.
As always, please feel free to contact me or my fellow Councillors if we can help you with any council matter.
