Bayside Mayor Dr Christina Curry visited Depena Reserve on Friday 10 June to see the progress on the new playspace that is expected to open in August.
“This amazing new playspace has so many opportunities for kids of all ages and abilities,” Mayor Dr Christina Curry said.
“There are wheelchair accessible play spaces as well as lots of areas for parents and carers to sit around and watch the kids play. We are looking forward to an August opening and a great summer down here for all our kids and families to enjoy.”
This new, inclusive playspace is suitable for ages 2 to 15.
The refurbishment includes new pathways, park furniture, landscaping, safety fencing and shade sails and was partially funded by a grant from the NSW Government’s Everyone Can Play program.
