Botany Pool staff are happy to be open for recreational swimming and have implemented a number of safety measures to ensure the health and safety of all visitors to the pool this summer.
“Council is actively working to safe-guard the health and safety of patrons visiting Council facilities,” a Council spokesperson said.
“I think these measures will help guard against the spread of COVID-19 in our community.”
Botany Pool will be open from 10am daily for recreational use.
Patrons will need to download the NSW Service app to sign in using the QR Code.
No cash will be accepted and all payments will have to be via cashless Eftpos, Visa or Mastercard.
The capacity will be capped at 200. No bookings are required but once this capacity has been reached no more people will be allowed into the facility until others have left.
The main pool will have a maximum capacity of 60 users with 6 lanes set aside for lap swimming.
The training pool will have a maximum capacity of 40 and 20 people will be allowed in the toddler’s pool at any one time.
Signage will be displayed around the facility encouraging patrons to adhere to all COVID-19 safety guidelines.
Pool staff will also monitor the area.
The grassed are will be open as long as social distancing guidelines are maintained.
BBQs and the log style picnic sheds will be cordoned off and not available for public use.
Council will follow NSW safety guidelines and update patrons on any changes to operational procedures at the pool.
