Damage to adjoining properties
A person undertaking excavation and construction work must avoid damaging adjoining land and property.
Options
We recommend the builder or owner liaise with their neighbours to fix any damage. We don't have any power to take action, unless there is a breach of development consent.
If you are unable to resolve a dispute about damage, you can consider:

contact the Principal Certifying Authority and request help to resolve the matter with the builder/owner

engage a consultant professional engineer to advise you in the matter and to liaise with the builder or engineer for the property to resolve the matter
